New *special* Camera! (Finally!)

New *special* Camera! (Finally!)
New *special* Camera! (Finally!)

This camera is special to me, very special!
Sadly about 3 years ago my Granddad, George, died. He was an amazing person, he was a high ranking officer in the Second world War so had many beautiful stories to tell about his time travelling around Africa and Italy and places like this with his men.

When he died he left behind his wife, Queenie. Nan, was also a beautiful person. She didn’t need to work so she didn’t really, she was a full time Mum. Sadly she had Alzheimers, a truly horrible disease. Because I am still so young I don’t really remember her without it but you can tell that it was painful to see her like that for the people that she had inspired her whole life. Because Granddad (PopPop to us!) was such a strong person he tried not to let people in and help with Nan so it was only after PopPop died that we saw actually how bad Nan’s disease had become. Sadly, last December Nan died and went to where she truly wanted to be, with PopPop. Their house was full of charming things that they had gotten throughout their lives. This was one of these. It was tucked away at the back of one of the draws, I took it out and fell in love with it.

Cameras are special like that. I think it is a beautiful was to be close to someone because their eyes, although may not have looked at excatly the same thing they would have been looking at interesting things, things that they felt were worth capturing. I believe that it is a great way to stay close to someone.

I think many people would have looked at this camera and sold it, I believe that it isn’t worth a lot of money. If I’m truly honest I don’t think I would care if it was. It is special to me, my first “real camera!” It may not be top of the range, it probibly never was but it is something I hold dear to me heart.

There was still some old, undeveloped film in there as well! Exciting, but I doubt that it will be able to be developed, I think it is a little too old!

Hope you had a nice day …

I haven’t got much to say today, just I hope you had a lovely day. Here are some pictures I have taken :) xxxx

Have a nice day …

Do you know when you have such a good day you just don’t want it to ever go away? I think today is one of those days!
I went up London like I said yesterday and took part in the sport relief mile. I was dressed in a shark costume, well I was dressed as a shark attack! I really loved it!

So fun!

I hope your day was as beautiful and lovely as mine was! What did you do today?

So today you are lucky, what this is the third post I have done in the same amount of days. You must have done something good! I am kidding, I love you, that’s why! :D

I have just got back from seeing my little brother perform in a production of the Little Shop Of Horrors. It was really good! I still don’t really understand what was going on but then I just presumed that it was the Rocky Horror show or something like that … In a way, I’m glad it wasn’t! It was really good, the whole cast were amazing actually!

Anyway, I have some more pictures to put up on here today! I am going up to London to do the Sport Relief Mile on Sunday. I am dressing in a shark costume (Well actually it is literally a shark and when I wear it it looks like it is eating me!) So that should be fun and hopefully if the weather is nice then some more photo’s for you.

Although it may not seem like it I do look at pretty much everyone’s blogs once in a while and it is pretty good. I feel bad that you look at my stuff and yet post beautiful pictures yourselves. I really do need to get better at this! :P

Here you go!

Biting the Bullet …

Biting the Bullet …

Don’t tell my parents … I am supposed to be doing some work but I find this much more productive instead! :D

I am biting the bullet, here are some more photo’s for you.

I really appreciate the comments and the likes and things for my posts. When I get a notification it makes me smile! (Pretty awkward on the bus to college this morning!) But I really do love you feedback!

I took many of these photo’s from Hampton Court as I went there on a trip for college the other day. I am really into History and especially the Tudors so this place is pretty amazing to me! When I get a better camera I will go back and take some better pictures! But for now I shall give you beautiful people this …

Until Next time … Amy :) x

P.s. Isn’t this weather lovely at the moment?! <3

Oh look how much you have grown ….

I over use this word, a lot actually but I have to say that I am sorry. So sorry for saying that I will post and yet never doing so. But today I do have something. I really need a new camera and as my birthday is coming up soon hopefully *fingers crossed* I will get them and driving lessons? Lets hope so :)

I really don’t like putting photos on here that I am not proud of because I always like to show the best that I can do but these photos are all I have to give you. I will start making a concious effort to take some more over the next couple of weeks. But instead of promising like I always do we shall just hope for the best.
